It's not just a matter of "not listening to the fans", because "fans" don't necessarily know what's the best for the series. It's mainly a matter of lack of polish and overall blandness. It's just another "classic" open world game no one asked for.

It's probably about all the Russian hate comments they had to disable the NP ships comments for. People need to keep real life events out of our games, game are for forgetting the crappy world not fighting over it.
